Sevens are Coming to Cote!

The North Harbour Under 85's Sevens tournament will be held at Northcote on the 20th March 2010 - so mark this in your Diary now!
All of the North Harbour Clubs with 85's teams have committed to having a season launch with a Sevens tournament at Harvey Wright in an attempt to 'take' the "Dean Alnut Sevens Trophy" off of the current champions Northcote.
OK, so, Cote won it in 2009 after beating a couple of NZ Black Ferns selection teams and taking down a competitive Massey side in the final but they still won it - it is in the cabinet as they say!
However, in 2010, it is planned to also get two High School teams to compete on the day and a "Harbour selection" sevens team will be picked to represent the Harbour 85's in the University tournament that will be held in Auckland on the 27th of March.
So plenty to play for, heaps of fun, tons of skill and thats just Billie on the Bar B Que - this grade is fast, skilled and going places so come on down and have a sausage and a beer at the can bar and support your team. To all you 85's out there - have a great Christmas and a Top New Year, then get training and we look forward to seeing you at the Cote in March.
