The Cote News

Lots has been happening around the Club – Ian Shewan has removed and replaced part of the Hanga Bar floor – the lines had been condensating for the last 20 years, saturating the lagging on the lines and thus rotting the floor timbers – cheers Ian.

The Lines man has tidied up the lines and relagged them, as well as giving them a cleaning – so no more ‘funny’ tasting post mix – yeah right! - So hopefully we will get another 20 years before more rotting occurs – all we need now is some lino – can anybody help??

Cellar Services have ‘blown’ the beer lines and these are pressurized from the Keg to the tap so there should be no ‘flat’ or odd tasting beer –oh, maybe just the Mac’s but who can tell!!

The downstairs kitchen has been cleaned and is now ready to be used if/when necessary for downstairs functions and we have a few of those lining up already – plenty of 50’s parties this year by the look of it.

Now we need to get the memorabilia sorted and would like a volunteer group to sort through everything that we have in storage – please see Karen so we can organise a time to get on to this.

Hopefully the beer garden extension is not far from being done and we need to get the appropriate ‘stuff’ on the walls so we can get the fire doors open and make the most of this great space,

Looking for - lounge suites, coffee machines, coffee cups and oven trays – if anyone can help, please talk to Karen.

Sevens are training for the Glenfield Sevens (Feb 13th) already and everyone else starts on Thursday 28th at 6:30 .

Club Muster – this is for all players, partners, supporters and others – held in the Hanga bar on Saturday 30th – starting at 7pm . If you are not planning on sitting in the traffic over the long weekend, come on down and have a beer or two.

Had a joke to tell but out of room today – maybe next week!
